The Advisory Committee of the Ada County Weed, Pest, and Mosquito Abatement District is a body of eight members appointed by the Ada County Board of Commissioners. The committee consists of one ex-officio member and seven members from the fields of science, epidemiology, agriculture, pest control, and veterinary medicine.

The committee works to provide public oversight and input regarding a variety of issues and programs that may impact county residents.   In accordance with the department’s vision and operations, the committee assists the district to better serve county residents through measures including planning, prioritizing, technology and cost-effectiveness.

The Advisory Committee meets monthly with department leaders to discuss current events and potential future issues.
