Informal Quote Process;  Ada County Procurement handles the quote process.  Written or electronic solicitation of three (3) quotes from three (3) vendors with a significant Idaho economic presence.

P.O. may be issued;  Design Professional may be needed.  There is no requirement for the contractor to have a public works license.  Must solicit three (3) quotes from local contractors for procurements over $5,000.  After BOCC approval, the Chairman will sign a P.O. for the work.

less than $200,000

Informal Public Works Bid;  Design Professional may be needed.  A contractor must have a Public Works License required if over $50,000;  Short Form Contract required.  Performance and Payment Bond required.  Must solicit three (3) written bids from owner-designated licensed contractors and award to the lowest responsive bidder.

Formal Bid Process

Formal Sealed Bid Process;  Formal bid process required.  Ada County Procurement will handle the bid process.  All contractors must be licensed public works contractors.  Contact Ada county Procurement for solicitation procedure or to schedule a bid coordination meeting.

Prequalification
Formal Bid Process

Formal Sealed Bid Process;  Prequalification required and then formal bid process.  All contractors must be licensed public works contractors.

Disposal of Surplus Property

Ada County will periodically have items that are no longer of use to the County. These items will either be donated to another governmental agency or in some cases auctioned. For more information regarding a surplus property please contact Ada County Procurement at procurement@adacounty.id.gov.
