We work with Code Enforcement, work on special projects such as the Capital Improvement Program, and work with the Board of County Commissioners. We love Ada County and the Development Services staff, and are honored to serve them and you!

Meet the Team
Megan Leatherman
DIRECTOR

Megan Leatherman has over seventeen years of Community Development experience. She holds a Master’s degree in City & Regional Planning from The Ohio State University and has a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Pre-Law from Ohio University. She began her Idaho planning work at a small planning firm in Meridian as a Land Use Planner.
In 2006, Megan started at Ada County and worked her way up from Associate Planner, to Planning Manager, to Director in 2012. Being raised in Columbus, Ohio, her strong Midwestern work ethic and character has created a culture of collaboration, service, and teamwork.
She was awarded the Idaho Business Review Accomplished Under 40 Award in 2014 and the Women of the Year award in 2019. In addition to her professional achievements, Megan played lacrosse for Ohio University and played on the USA National Lacrosse Team. Megan has two children, ages 12 and 14.
