(Boise, ID) – Ada County Development Services will hold an Open House June 12 to review proposed changes to Ada County Code, including proposed amendments to the existing Zoning and Cell Tower Ordinance found in Title 8 of the Ada County Code (ACC).
The proposed changes include minor revisions intended to provide clarity to the Cell Tower Ordinance and Zoning Ordinance standards and terminology, as well as to the approval process and interpretation and application of the Zoning Ordinance. These zoning ordinance revisions focus on County Code definitions (ACC§ 8-1A-1) and regulations applying to all zones (ACC§ 8-4), as well as clarification of the process and standards for Conditional Uses (ACC§ 8-5B), Temporary Uses (ACC§ 8-4L), Accessory Uses (ACC§ 8-5A), and Specific Use Standards (ACC§ 8-5).
Ada County welcomes assistance from residents in reviewing the Proposed Cell Tower Ordinance and Zoning Ordinance amendments. We want to ensure the proposed changes add the clarity we are seeking to provide, so residents can attend the upcoming Open House to learn more about this and share their thoughts on the proposed changes. There will be informational displays and staff on hand to answer questions.
Following the Open House, public hearings will be held, and are expected to take place on:
August 8th – Public Hearing before the Planning & Zoning Commission
October 2nd – Public Hearing before the Board of Ada County Commissioners
