RE: | State v. Launa Coates |
Launa Coates, 47, of Nampa, Idaho, was bound over to District Court for six counts of felony grand theft by the Honorable David Manweiler yesterday. Coates is charged with embezzling approximately $97,000 dollars from her former employer, Dena Moore Law where she was a paralegal and bookkeeper between 2012 and 2017.
Coates remains out on bond pending her arraignment before the Honorable Melissa Moody, on October 16, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. The maximum sentence on each count of grand theft is 14 years in prison.
Coates is presumed innocent on the charges until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
