Mark Allen Price was sentenced this morning to serve twenty years in prison, with five of those years fixed, for a bank robbery he committed in December.
On December 10, 2015, Mark Allen Price entered a Wells Fargo bank on Fairview Avenue in Boise, and presented a demand note to the teller. After receiving cash, he instructed the teller to provide even more. Price fled the bank, but was identified by police through footage from the bank’s surveillance system, which showed distinctive tattoos used to help identify him. Price was arrested the next day in Baker City, Oregon after clues led police there. He was extradited to Idaho and charged with robbery. He has been held at the Ada County Jail since that time on a $500,000.00 bond.
The Honorable Judge Timothy Hansen sentenced Price to serve a twenty year prison term, the first five years being fixed.
We commend the employees of Wells Fargo bank for their quick thinking and cooperation in the investigation. Boise Police Department Detective Pietrzak led the investigation and was able to quickly identify the perpetrator and coordinate apprehension of Price, thanks to cooperation from tips called in from the community, the work of the Boise Police Department and the Baker City Police Department, many other law enforcement partners.
