The primary functions of the Treasurer’s Office

Treasurer

The responsibility to ensure all monies received by Ada County are deposited and accounted for in a timely manner. The Treasurer is also responsible for investing idle funds and ensuring there is adequate money available for the county to meet financial obligations.

Tax Collector

The responsibility to collect and account for all property taxes levied on the real, personal, and operating property tax rolls.

Public Administrator

The duty to administer the estates of decedents for whom no personal representative is appointed; the estates of decedents with whom there are no known heirs; estates ordered by the court and estates to which the State of Idaho is an heir.
